Frequently Asked Questions

Real answers to the questions Texas homeowners ask us most. If yours isn’t here, just call.

How long does a roof replacement take in Texas?
Most residential roof replacements in Texas take 1–3 days from tear-off to cleanup. Larger or more complex roofs (steep slopes, multiple stories, tile or metal systems) take longer. We always tell you the realistic timeline before we start.
How much does a new roof cost in Texas?
Costs vary widely with size, slope, material, and decking condition. As a rough range, an asphalt architectural shingle replacement on a typical Texas home runs $8,000–$20,000+. Metal and tile cost more. Every estimate we write is fixed-price and itemized — no vague "starting at" numbers.
Do you handle insurance claims?
Yes. We document storm and hail damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and supplement scope-of-work items the adjuster missed. We do not file false claims and we will tell you up front if we don’t think you have a legitimate claim.
How long is the warranty on a new roof?
Material warranties run from 25 years (3-tab) to Limited Lifetime (architectural and impact-rated shingles). On top of that we provide a workmanship warranty on every install. Premium upgrades like the GAF Golden Pledge cover both materials and labor for decades.
Can I just install a new roof over the old one?
We don’t do roof-overs. Layered roofs hide deck damage, void most warranties, and create excessive weight load. Every install we do is a full tear-off down to the deck — that’s the only way to inspect the wood underneath and install properly.
What happens if it rains during installation?
We monitor the forecast and never tear off more than we can dry-in the same day. If unexpected weather hits, the roof is tarped and watertight before the crew leaves. Your home is safe.
Do I need to be home during the work?
No. Most homeowners are at work during installation. We do a pre-job walkthrough so you know what to expect, and we communicate updates throughout. Final walk-through happens on completion at your convenience.
Will my landscaping or driveway get damaged?
We protect landscaping with tarps and plywood, magnetic-sweep the yard and driveway daily, and haul off all debris before we leave. Damage is rare and always covered if it happens.
What roofing materials do you install?
Asphalt architectural shingle (GAF, IKO, Owens Corning, Malarkey), Class 4 impact-rated shingle (Malarkey Vista, IKO Nordic), standing seam metal (McElroy, Berridge), stone-coated steel, clay tile, and concrete tile.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully insured with general liability and workers’ compensation. Texas does not require a state roofing license, but we carry all required insurance and are A+ BBB rated. Certificates of insurance available on request before any work starts.
